Maths Presentation Term 2
Our class has been working on a maths presentation for the past term. Everyone chose a part in mathematics that they were weak in. After we had finished we had to present our presentation in front of the whole class. We had a topic and then a specific part in that topic that we were weak in.
For my topic I had chosen circles, and my specific part in circles was how to find out the circumference of a circle. I had chosen circumferences because I had no idea how to find it out (I didn’t know what I had to times and what π was). My aim was how to teach my class more about circumferences (if they already knew I would say more things that they didn’t know).
This is what I have learnt about circles
• To find the circumference you have to times the diameter by π
• The diameter is always double the radius
• You can not find the exact number of π
• Approximations are used for π, 3.14 is the most common
I will know if my class understood what I was presenting because they won’t be asking questions about what I meant and their faces won’t be screwed up.
Well, this is my maths presentation explanation!
