About Fergie

Published by natnat under Singers, Home

Hello! I’m going to tell you about Fergie.

Stacy Ann Ferguson

Early Life

Fergie was born on the 27th of March 1975. She was born in Whittier, California to Terri Gore and Patrick Ferguson in nearby Hacienda Heights. Fergie has one sister, Dana, who is an actress. Her parents were Catholic and worked as school teachers, and Fergie had a strict Catholic upbringing. During her youth, she was involved with members from the Mexican gangs in Hacienda Heights. Fergie attended Glen A. Wilson High School.

Music Career

Fergie was a member of the female trio Wild Orchid, which she fronted with Stephnie Ridel and fellow Kids Incorporated star Renee Sandstrom. Wild Orchid released two albums, but after completing a third album, their record label declined to release it, and she left the group shortly after that. Her disappointment with Wild Orchid led to an addiction to crystal methamphetamine. In September 2006, Fergie talked with Timeabout quitting her crystal meth addiction. “It was the hardest boyfriend I ever had to break up with,” she says. “It’s the drug that’s addicting. But it’s why you start doing it in the first place that’s interesting. A lot of it was being a child actor; I learned to suppress feelings.”

In 2003, Fergie took over the lead female vocal duties for the Black Eyed Peas, replacing background singer Kim Hill, who had left the group in 2000. Fergie recorded five songs with the group before she was invited to join them permanently. Fergie’s addition to the band, which had enjoyed underground success until then, helped them quickly grow into mainstream popularity.

After two successful Black Eyed Peas albums, Fergie began pursuing a solo career. Her first album, released on September 19, 2006, was entitled The Dutchess. The album’s name is a misspelled variant of the former title of Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, with whom Fergie shares a surname and popular nickname. The solo deal does not mean the demise of the Black Eyed Peas, as Fergie intends to remain with the group, alternating between the two duties. The Dutchess is similar in style to that of the Black Eyed Peas, as fellow Peas member will.i.am is the album’s executive producer. Fergie has had four hit songs from The Dutchess, with “London Bridge” and “Glamorous” becoming number one singles. Her second single, “Fergalicious”, peaked at #2. “London Bridge” reached #2 on the United World Chart, while “Fergalicious” and “Glamorous” both made it to #4. “Big Girls Don’t Cry” is her fourth single.

Acting Career

As a child actress, Fergie appeared on the television program Kids Incorporatedfor several years with Renee Sandstrom, who became a fellow member of Wild Orchid. Fergie’s well-scrubbed image on that show presents quite a contrast with the “ghetto-funk” image she has more recently begun to cultivate. Fergie was the voice of Sally Brown in two Charlie Brown specials: Its Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown (1984) and Snoopy’s Getting Married, Charlie Brown (1985). She also voiced Sall in the 1985 version of The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show.

Well, I hoped you have like of what I have said about Fergie, (I don’t think you will like it if you are not a Fergie fan!).

My Fantasy Creature

My Fantasy Creature

As I am watching the 2000 Sydney Olympics Swimming I see a bright light where the camera man is. I notice that no one else has seen the light because they are to busy watching the swimming. I first think that I am imagining things so I look back at the swimming. But then I think I should double-check to see if I am imagining things. I look more carefully at the spot where the bright light was. But as I am looking I notice that the bright light has gone. In its place is a very unusual creature, something I have never seen before. This, let’s see “thing” is see through. Well, you could actually say its body looked like the Olympic rings! All the rings are see-through except for top middle ring which is black. On the black ring are the Olympic ring creature’s eyes, nose and mouth. This Olympic Ring creature hops towards me because I am already near the camera man. Its legs are very skinny and very long. It then opens its mouth to talk but doesn’t. Then, this Olympic ring creature claps its long and skinny arms and out of no where a chalkboard and a piece of chalk appear. It takes the chalk and writes that I have to talk first and then it can talk. So then I say hello to the creature. It replies by saying that its name is Olymian and that it has to always be at the Olympics. I notice that it is a girl because of its voice. Olymian explains to me that she is the last of her kind.

2 Years Later

So Olymian and I are best friends now. We always go to the Olympics together, go swimming and loads of more stuff. I hope we stay best friends forever and ever!

The End
