History Never Repeats: True or False
This term our class has been learning about history all over the world. We had to pick 3 things in the 3 different eras. The ancient civilizations, the medieval era and the modern era. Below are the things I picked.
Ancient Civilizations: Persia/Iran
Medieval Era: Taj Mahal
Modern Era: Konrad Zuse
Here is some interesting info about these things and people:
Ancient Civilizations: Persia/Iran
The symbol in the middle of the Iranian flag is the emblem of the country
The motto of Iran in English is “
Independence, Freedom, Islamic Republic”
The capital of Iran is
Tehran
Tehran is the largest city in Iran/Persia
Medieval Era: Taj Mahal
The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan commissioned the Taj Mahal as a mausoleum for his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal
Construction began for the Taj Mahal in 1632 and finished in 1648
The Taj Mahal is sometimes called “The Taj”
The Taj Mahal is generally considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements of Persian, Turkish and Indian architectural styles
