Just Some Jokes!

Published by natnat under Home, Jokes

Patient: Doctor, you must help me. I can’t remember anything.

Doctor: How long has this been going on?

Patient: How long has what been going on?

Biff: Only fools are certain. Wise men hesitate.

Boff: Are you sure of that?

Biff: I’m certain.

Customer: Waiter, what kind of soup is this? I ordered pea soup, and this tastes like soap.

Waiter: My mistake, that’s tomato soup. Pea soup tastes like petrol.

Larry and Harry went for a walk and they cam to a large wall. “How are we going to get over the wall?” Larry asked Harry. Harry said, “It’s easy. I’ll shine my flashlightover the wall and you climb up on the beam.” “Oh no you don’t,” said Larry. “I’ll get up halfway, and you’ll turn the flashlight off.”

“I don’t care who you are, fat man, get your reindeer off my roof!”

A woman was taking a bath when she heard the doorbell ring. “Who is there?” she shouted. “Blind man!” the voice replied. Hearing this, the woman said she would be right there. Without bothering to put her clothes on, she opened the door. There stood a surprised man, who said, “Where do you want me to put these Venetian blinds, lady?”

Animal Cruelty

Published by natnat under Projects, Home

For my “What Makes Me…” project I did what makes me worried. My project was based on animal cruelty.

Animal cruelty means just hurting animals for the fun of it. It means just killing them for things that are valuable. For instance, people kill elephants for their tusks and that can be really painful. Just like having our teeth pulled out, it would really hurt.

My issue animal cruelty has effects on animals because it is animals that are getting hurt and not us. Animals get killed just for their fur, tusks and other things. What I’m trying to say is that how would some other person who kills animals like to get.

Animal cruelty affects me because animals are dying and I think how I would like to get hurt or die just so some other person can have something of mine. It really makes me sad.

If I could help, (and I try my best to) I would, try not to litter so the birds won’t choke on the rubbish we leave around and treat ALL animals nicely. I think it at least could save some of the animals lives.

Thank you

The One and Only Amazing Water Slide!

Published by natnat under School Events, Games, Home, Camp, Fun Things

On the last day of camp, (if you haven’t read “How to NOT Get Injured at Archery”, the 31st of October) we had no activities except for………………. the one and only amazing water slide! We had to get into our swimmers and meet in the courtyard. After that we walked for around 10 minutes. The water slide was near the rock climbing place (which is around 9 - 10 minutes long…….. obviously). When we reached there we each got a mat or if you wanted to go in pairs one between two. On my first go I went with Sharon. After that I went with Souad, after that I went by myself and after that I went with Souad again. It was really fun! Angelo, one of our instructors said that if you pull up the front of the mat, you would go faster. On the curve of the slide, it felt like you were about to fall off! It was really fun! There were some students who weren’t going on the water slide, they were measuring who had got the furthest splash. Souad and I got the 4th biggest splash! The person who got the 1st biggest splash were actually 3 people. Because when Ranita was coming down after her was Jovan and Solomon who went a bit early and bumped into Ranita and they got the biggest splash! It was really funny and fun.

Well, that is what happened at the one and only amazing water slide!

Happy Diwali!

Published by natnat under Home

On Friday 9th November, we Hindu’s celebrated a festival called Diwali or Deepawali. Diwali is the festival of lights and we light things that look like candles but more in the shape of a very small bowl. They are called diyas.

We put some diyas around the house and the rest on a tray when we have a prayer. The prayer goes from 6:15pm to 7:00pm (It’s actually supposed to go from 6:00pm to 7:00pm but we were a little bit late!).

We also light up sparkles in the night. All of us play with them(sometimes even the adults play as well!).

Well, thats around all that happens at Diwali. And of course, have a happy diwali! Below are some photo’s of me playing with sparkles.

How To NOT Get Injured At Archery!

Published by natnat under School Events, Games, Home, Camp, Fun Things

On the 29th of October some students from Stage 3 went to the Royal National Park for our school camp. On the first day we had 2 activities, archery and then a river ride. I am going to tell you in this post an explanation on how to do archery.

First of all, you stand sideways and pick your bow up. Then you pick up an arrow and click it on next to the gold part on the string of the bow. After that, you stretch the string up to your cheek and let it go (make sure you aim for the target or it will hit the ground instead!). My highest score was the large red circle. That is the 4th best out of 10.

Well, that is my explanation on how to NOT get injured at archery!
