Riddle No. 2

Published by natnat at 6:22 pm under Riddles, Home, Fun Things

Hi everybody!

Thank you Mikhaila for answering my riddle. By the way, she was right! You would overtake second place and not first place so that is why you would be in second place. Anyway, time for my next riddle. Please have a guess even if you do not know it.

There is a common english word that is nine letters long. Each time you remove a letter from it, it still remains an english word - from nine letters down to a single letter. What is the original word, and what and what are the words that it becomes after removing one letter at a time?

Hope it’s not too hard or not too easy.

Natalie

    Hi Natalie,

The word is startling so it goes like this:
    STARTLING-STARTING-STARING-STRING-STING-SING-SIN-IN-I

Good riddles keep it up :-)

    Hi Natnat!
I agree with Naomi, I think the word is startling-starting.staring.string-sting-sing-sin-in-I!
    Hope I’m right!
About the comment, it wasn’t a man, SORRY! :( But I’ll let you have another go and guess. Hope you get it right again. So read it properly and any 2 words that are next to eachother that make a popular name is it.
    Good luck! ;)
