NAPLAN Tests Finally Over!!!
Hi everybody!
Whew! The NAPLAN tests are finally over. The NAPLAN tests were actually called the Basic Skills Tests in the past years. But this year the names been changed to the NAPLAN tests. NAPLAN stands for National Assessments Programs Language And Numearcy. For the past week, we have been doing our tests. The year 3 and 5 tests are the ones that really count but the year 6 tests still count towards their highschool selection.
We had numeracy, language, reading and writing tasks. The writing task was to be about something that was found. My story was about a 15 year old girl called Sarah. She found a instuction sheet leading to the House Of DOOM. When she got inside she was captured and was killed. Her sister Jane found the instruction sheet and even though she followed the instructions she could never find the House Of DOOM.
Still, some of the tests were a bit hard but some were really easy.
But still, everyone is happy about the NAPLAN tests being over. Even the teachers! YAY!
I’ll write later. Bye!

Hi, Natalie!
Phew, it’s over. I’m glad that it’s over so we can get on with some fun things.
I think your story is great. I wrote about Sandy losing her teddy bear called Nournour. She sleeps with Nournour every night and also it’s her favourite bear. At the edd she finds Nournour in her bed.
I wish you the best luck in the NAPLAN!!
Best wishes, Celia
Hey Natalie,
I’m now in grade 6, and did the tests last year in grade 5. They were pretty hard! I can’t really remember what I wrote my story about, but it probably wasn’t as good as yours!
Well done on completing the tests!
Laura
Hi Natnat,
I’m so glad that the NAPLAN is over.
I wrote about a girl that lives in an unknown place that needs someone from the outside world to visit it or else it is doomed. A boy finds a box of things in his house and solves 2 clues to finally find the girl.
I hope you and Celia and everyone else in the class luck for the NAPLAN.

Naomi
P.S. We don’t get the results till August

Hey i just wanna share with you what my random story was about…..Two sisters named Kyra and Asha, My town, My school, An Earthquake, an old shoe factory with a little radioactive waste thrown in there somewhere…….
Hi!
@ Laura:- Hi Laura, I don’t think that my story was better than yours. It probably had the same level of effort put into it. I am also in year 6. Can I ask you, do you have a blog and if you do can I have the address of it and if you have a class blog. Hope it’s not too much.
@ Chloe:- Hi Chloe, thanks for sharing your story with me. It sounds like a pretty good story with your town, your school, an earthquake and the shoe factory in there! Can I also ask you something, do you and Laura go to the same school and do you have a blog? Hope it’s not too much to ask for.
Bye!
Natalie
well, no i dont have a blog. I have a friend called Laura but She’s in year 9 like me
i just had to write another story! Apparently they are testing random ppl in random schools to see if the new Naplan tests are effective. Anyway, this storys theme was open the box. I wrote about a brother and sister named Garland and Finn living in Winnipeg. Garland decided to move to Winterthur. There she leaves little Finn to fend for himself while she makes a home out of her favourite photographers cellar. Finn catches the photographers eye and becomes a model leaving poor Garland to stave, which she did. So Finn came home, smelled somthing. Went into the cellar and found Garland then she got cremated and sent back to Winnipeg. Little Finn is so traumatised by this experience that he quits his job and buys a house. When he is leaving the photographers house he smells the same smell in the cellar. He finds a box (gasp), he opens it. It is mouldy cheese. he relises that Garland stole it and screams. Goes loony.
Great huh? not really. I hate writing storys so i dont really care what i write and im not getting marked on it.
Omigosh!Sarah???…Oh well I had the NAPLAN too!!! I’m also glad it’s over!!!
So how’s school going?
